71 Happy Days: BONDORELLA

JUNE 11, 2014

It’s been exceptionally hard to restrain myself from including Bondorella in every 100 Happy Days post. I mean… look at this beast!! How can that face not make you smile??

Here I am at Day 71, and–other than the Berry Run day–I hadn’t dedicated a post to my beloved truck. I never want to force anything in this challenge. The happy days thing works in bizarre ways. I swear, the moment finds you. Honestly! It does! Like today. By work day’s end, I still didn’t have my picture. It wasn’t a bad day by any means, but nothing in particular stood out. I enjoyed the nice breeze, but disliked the turkey neck… yeah, yeah… part of getting older. Still, I didn’t want to blast it onto Facebook (yet I’ll post it on my blog???)…

In truth, the older I get the more I’m okay with aging. I’m at a point in my life when trying too hard to look young comes off sad and pathetic. I really am cool with aging gracefully.

Oh wow. I sure got off track. Where was I…? Ah! No happy days pic!

And now for the rest of the story…

So shortly after I got home from work, the feller rolled up on his BRO-ad King so I headed into the garage to greet him. Instead of coming inside, he took off his helmet and went to work on our garage door. It’s been acting wonky lately, sometimes taking multiple tries before it closes all the way, as if something’s blocking the path. While he worked, I kept him company from the door stoop. And man! What a view!! I can’t really put into words how I feel about this truck. Maybe its silly, but she makes me happier than just about anything in the world, second only to my feller and my parents…(hi mommy and daddy!!!)

Okay. Time for me to go. I get caught up in these posts to the point I neglect everything else I should be doing (like my novel edit and critiques with my writing partner!). I said to feller this morning, Man! My time management lately stinks!! Sadly, I think these posts are partially to blame.

On that note, Nighty night and Later gators!

LATER GATORS!
