69 Happy Days: GOOD DAY FOR THE FAM!

JUNE 9, 2014

I… am emotionally exhausted, but in a good way. Two great things happened to my family that put this day into the 100 Happy Days: Daddy finished his radiation, and my niece Kayla won a Moto Camp scholarship.

A couple of days ago, I posted a flyer for a Girlz Moto Camp scholarship on my thirteen-year-old niece’s Facebook wall. She’s been riding a Trail 90 for a couple of years, and has been itching to learn to ride a bigger bike, complete with clutch.

Well.. she wrote an awesome essay, worked the social media, and she won! The last couple of days though, I’ve been on edge. I wanted her to win so badly!!

I’m so proud of this kid! I’m sure she’ll have an amazing time.

Even bigger, though, my daddy finished his radiation treatments! Such a huge relief for him, not only to just be done with it, but to also leave Phoenix behind and get to his beloved lake house. After the last couple of months, he deserves some R&R. Now we’ll keep our fingers crossed that those 45 treatments got rid of any trace of cancer. LOVE YOU DADDY!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

I wasn’t kidding about being emotionally exhausted. I really am! My brain feels like total mush at the moment, which explains why this is so poorly written. In fact, I’m going to sign off now.

Until tomorrow!

Later gators!
