May 20, 2016 – I took this shot during the transportation week, but liked the car-driving-into-the-fireball better, so saved this one for “Night Owl,” one of the rare occasions I let my hubby take the wheel of my ’48 Ford.
WEEK 20: Night Owl Landscape
A tripod is going to be handy this week… time to shoot a night landscape. Look for some light for the scene! Car lights, city lights, or maybe just moonlight.
No tripod or long exposure for this one. No room in my tiny cab. Plus we were moving. Instead I shot handheld at 4000 iso, 10mm, at f3.5. The light on his hand came from a passing street light. Perfect. Most other shots his hand was dark.
I did take some other Night Owl photos this week, just in case I got something better. Joshua Trees and the moon. I like the eerie nature of the photos, but they don’t scream NIGHT to me. In fact, they kinda look like low exposure daytime shots, the moon mimicking the sun.
In the end, I like the driving shot better.
Until Next Week’s FANTASY…
