33 Happy Days: HOMEMADE BREAD

Would you look at that? Day 33! One third of the way through the 100 Happy Days Challenge! I honestly figured I’d be tired of it by now, but you know what? I’m not. Not at all. In fact, I totally look forward to finding my special little moment every day.

Since I ditched out on my chores to go ride the Chromester yesterday, I knew I’d have some heavy work ahead of me today, especially considering we were gone last weekend. The house was pretty dirty, we had several piles of laundry, plus, I like to do some pre-cooking on Sundays for my lunches and to make weekday dinners easier. We try to eat homemade as much as we possibly can to eliminate all of the chemical junk in commercially produced food. Like bread.

33BreadCollageProblem with baking bread is you need to dedicate 3-4 hours to do it. Since I knew I’d be home cleaning and doing laundry, I got going early on it, and baked three loaves (one for this week, two for the freezer). There are few things in life as wonderful smelling as bread in the oven. Somehow it made the other tasks I had to do, much more pleasant.
